1a) List two reasons why teens are reluctant to call helplines despite the promise of anonymity and professional help.

Teens are reluctant to call helplines because they dun feel well talking to strangers. Just imagine talking to somone that you don't even know and that person is giving you tips to solve your problems. For myself, I prefer talking to someone that I know like teachers or friends. The second reason is some teens are very stubborn. They always want to solve their problems by themselves and just keep their problems to themselves. They don't like to share their problems with people which is really not a good thing.

b) According to Ms Lily Chu, how does Touch Leadership and Mentoring prefer to help troubled teens?

Touch Leadership and Mentoring prefer to help teens and youths through more direct, effective, means, such as educational workshops in schools, face to face counselling and home visits. This can be more efficient help to those in desperate needs.

2) Have you confided in your friends or family members about the problems you face in school/ life? Why or why not?

- Yes. I prefer telling my problems that I face in life to my freinds and family members than calling helplines. I find it easy and very comfortable to tell my friends and family members as i have know them for quite some time. For my friends, it is easy to talk to them about my problems as they may have encounter the same things as me. It is also common for teenagers to seek for their friends help when they face a problem. For family, the first one I will talk to about my problems is my sister. We are very close and we also share our problems togther. She may be 5 yrs older then me but we both have been through and does understand each other.

Have you been betrayed by your friends before? If yes, how? (You may change the names of the people involved for privacy)

Yes. It was during my primary school when i was priamry 5. I thought he was my friend, but he betrayed me. It was okay as nobody really likes him anyway. He is always up to something so he can't really be trusted.

1a) What are the 4 rules for religious harmony?

.1)All groups have to exercise tolerance and restraint
We must share this country with other people. Each group of people have different teachings and practice. we must learn to be tolerant and be patient with each other.Hence the rules that apply to only one group of people cannot be enforced

.2)Keep religion separate from politics
Religion in Singapore is different from religion in America and Islamic country. This is tom prevent crash from different religious groups

.3)Government must remain secular
The Government authorities comes from the people and it has to be neutral and fair. The laws passed by the Parliament are elected by people. They don't come from a sacred book. They are not against any religion, they uphold sound moral values. All races are treated equally.

.4)Maintain the common space that all Singaporean share
The common place we share meals, schools and workplace has to be neutral and secular

b) In your opinion, how can we maintain a common space in schools?

We must respect and tolerate people of different religion. School must be neutral and secular. Everybody must also have equal treatment.

2) Do you respect other religions? Why or why not?
What do you think of children who stay away from their parents' funerals because they believe the traditional rites are against their new religion?

I respect other religion. I treat all religion equally and respect them. I that the children does not respect their parents religion . These children are also unfiafial as they should always follow their parents religious. They are our own parents and they went through blood sweat and tears just to raise us up and now that they are gone they can do something like that. It makes me furious to know such a son or daughter exist that decided their parents if less important compared to a religion, such person is a cruel and despicable person. i hope that people does not learn from this type of mistakes those unfifial child that they have brought into this world on now that they are leaving their children did not even care.

1a) What was the reason for building the platform doors at the MRT stations?

Ans: It will prevent commuters from falling onto the tracks - intentionally or otherwise.Such incidents have gone up over the years, from an average of 16 cases a year in 2004 and 2005 to 31 in 2007.So those Platform doors were build.

b) Which other countries already have such doors installed at train stations?

Ans:Singapore is not the first country to build these half-height platform screen doors in its train stations. Such doors are currently found at some other stations in Taipei and Paris.

2) What is your opinion of commuters on trains who disregard the rules (no eating/drinking, give up seats for the elderly/ the disabled/ pregnant women etc.) on the train?

Ans: These rules should be taken seriously. Some people did not even know about the rules and still carries on doing them, once they get caught they can only pay the fine. Such excuses like i did not know the rules were strictly not accepted. The MRT company will wear red t-shirt to represent that they are like the DM of the MRT. Those breaking the rules must be caught in the act and must pay on the spot once their are being caught by such people.
